1. Acceptance

By installing or using File Explorer – Gold ("the App"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Android devices you own or control, for lawful purposes. You may not copy, modify, rent, resell or distribute the App. You may not reverse engineer it or remove its notices, except where the law allows or an open-source license permits.

3. What the App does

The App is a file manager, viewer and editor. It acts only on files and folders you select or that you give it access to. Features can vary by device, Android version, storage type and file format.

4. Your files and your responsibility

• Actions like delete, move, rename, overwrite, compress, convert and edit can permanently change or remove data. You are responsible for them and for keeping backups.

• Editing tools offer Save as Copy and Replace Original. Replace Original overwrites the source file. Choose it only when you are sure.

• Output quality, file size and success depend on your device, free storage and the source file. We do not guarantee that every format will open, convert or play.

• Signatures and marks added in the PDF tools are images or annotations placed on the page. They are not certificate-based digital signatures and may not be legally binding where you live.

5. Trash

Trash gives you a 30-day window to undo a deletion. It is not a backup. Items are permanently removed after 30 days or when you empty Trash. Items stay in a hidden folder on your storage, and uninstalling the App does not remove them.

6. Private Folder

• Private Folder is protected only by the PIN, password or pattern you set. We cannot see or recover it.

• If you forget it, Reset Private Folder permanently deletes the credential and every file inside, with no way to undo.

• Uninstalling the App or clearing its data also permanently deletes everything in Private Folder.

• Files there are hidden by Android's app sandbox and are not separately encrypted. We cannot guarantee protection on rooted, compromised or shared devices.

• Do not keep the only copy of anything important in Private Folder.

7. Permissions and installing apps

The App needs broad access, including All files access, to work. You can revoke permissions in Android Settings, though some features will stop working. If you install an APK through the App, you do so at your own risk. We are not responsible for its content or effects. Android's install and uninstall screens always ask for your confirmation.

8. Clean Storage suggestions

Clean Storage lists duplicates, blurry photos, large files, junk and unused apps based on automatic rules. These are suggestions only and can be wrong. Review each item before you delete it. We are not responsible for data you choose to remove.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the App to infringe anyone's rights or break the law;

• access, copy or alter files or devices you are not authorized to use;

• remove or bypass copy protection or DRM;

• distribute malware;

• interfere with the App's operation.

You are responsible for having the right to edit, convert, extract, share or save any content you handle with the App.

10. Third-party services and apps

Some features rely on services and apps we do not control, such as Google Play (rating and the store listing), your email app, your browser and the apps you share to. Their terms and policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.

11. Intellectual property and open-source software

The App, its design and its original content belong to AJ Developers Team or its licensors. Your files stay yours. We claim no rights to them. The App includes open-source and third-party components under their own licenses, listed under Settings → Open Source Licenses. These Terms do not limit your rights under those licenses.

12. Feedback

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely and without obligation to you.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. It is part of these Terms.

14. Changes to the App

We may update, change or discontinue features at any time, including to meet Android or store requirements. Features may behave differently across devices.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that the App will be free of bugs or data loss.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, AJ Developers Team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. This includes lost files or data, lost profits, or device problems arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App, if anything. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

17. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your license if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 4–6, 9, 11 and 15–17) do so after termination.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. The effective date above will change, and changes apply from that date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where AJ Developers Team is established, except that mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live still apply. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
