Through the display menu the user is able to navigate the 3D filament splicer. The user can click on "Set Temp" to set the temperature the heating element will reach for the filaments to fuse. Once the desired temperature is set, the user can click the start button in the main menu page to run the whole process. The screen will display the current temperature and the phase the system is in. If the user would like to stop during heating or cooling they can simply click out of that page.
On the main menu, the two menu items are "Set Temp" and "Start." An arrow indicates which menu item is selected. To switch the menu item selected, the user rotates the rotary encoder (direction doesn't matter). If "Set Temp" is selected and the rotary encoder is clicked, the display shows a secondary page with the desired temperature (in Celsius) for the heating element in the process. Turning the rotary encoder clockwise increases the value, and turning it counterclockwise decreases the value. The value changes by 1, but the user can double click the encoder to make the value change by 5. The user can click the encoder (once) again to return to the main menu. If "Start" is selected and the rotary encoder is clicked, the whole process is started and the display shows a secondary process screen. The user can view the current temperature and the phase the system is in on the secondary page. To exit that page and stop the process, the user can click the encoder. The user can adjust the desired temperature and then click start again, restarting the process.
