WE stand in solidarity with the position of the Bay Area Black Deaf Advocates who made a public statement which we fully endorse, asking David Martin to drop his lawsuit against a Black Deaf Woman leader, the new President of the DCARA Board of Directors.
WE are individuals from all walks of life, who deal with daily oppressions. have experienced oppression in one form or another, be it racism, sexism, ageism, classism, to name a few.
WE come from all backgrounds, all races be it African American or Black, Aborigninal, Asian, European American or White, Native American, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander, Maori, or other race, cultures, and languages.
WE are Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, or Deaf +, whom may be part of the intersectionalities including LGBTQIA+ communities.
WE intend with Bay Area Black Deaf Advocates leading, to take a stand together to dismantle White Supremacy as a whole, and any individuals who are white supremacists who are suing DCARA and its new leadership and Executive Director targeting a Black Deaf Woman President and other Persons of Color on the new Board as well as DCARA staff.
WE must address ongoing, the racial injustices within our Communities of Color and set the path forward for healing to take place.
WE won’t stop, until the system is dismantled, and the individual supremacists cease their attacks or acts of terrorism.
