What Kind of Things Happen at Game?
Game is a combination of a number of styles of play.
-Political Interactions: Characters may have political orders from their bosses, or political agendas from allies or enemies to contend with at game, trading favors, sponsoring downtime action, sharing and discovering secrets.
-Storyteller Driven Plot Events: Events may happen in the larger world that change the political or social calculus for a character. These events don't define how a character reacts to them, but introduce new factors to consider that may rebalance the world around a character.
-Player Driven Plot Events: Players are free to develop plots to drive action from other players. While Character vs. Character is allowed, violence at game is highly restricted, as an act of violence in the embassy is an act of war against Faerie.
-Puzzles and Conundrums: What's a faerie tale without an unsolvable riddle? Plot related content may involve creative problem solving of narrative conundrums, though literal puzzles will be rare.
-Social Maneuvering: This is a party, plenty of social nonsense and such at a party. There may even be dancing.
-Rituals and Observations: Many games will have a ritual observance or cultural performance component. These provide and opportunity for player created activities to sanctify the embassy or observe the passing of seasons.
-Archetypal Growth: Heroes seek to confront Villains, Villains seek to commit villainy(or be foiled, we're not here to kink-shame), Seekers seek, Helpers help. The party atmosphere is rife with opportunities.
Our general food policy at game is this.
Food can be eaten in character and/or out of character at any time. Feel free to indicate that your character is not eating but you are, or vice versa.
The in-game note about the food indicates that the only obligation from eating the food(as it is technically faerie food) is acknowledging the embassy cook. If the embassy cook is not immediately available, you can indicate to any member of the embassy staff that you send thanks to the cook and that fulfills the obligation. There will be NO trap food at game.
