## Disclaimer
Fido uses AI to analyze short pet videos and generate mood scores, behavioral observations, and
advice. The output is informational and educational only. Fido is not a substitute for veterinary
care, diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a certified animal behaviorist. AI output can be
inaccurate, incomplete, or wrong. Contact a licensed veterinarian for health, injury, aggression,
sudden behavior changes, safety concerns, or a possible emergency.
AI features depend on third-party providers whose availability, response times, and accuracy are
outside our control.

## Terms & Conditions
### Acceptance and eligibility
By signing in or using Fido, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You
must be at least 18 years old to use Fido; by continuing, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
### Your content
You retain ownership of pet videos, photos, recordings, messages, and notes you submit. You grant
Athena76 a limited license to host, transmit, and process that content solely to operate, secure,
support, and provide Fido's analysis, journal, chat, report, and sync features. You confirm that you
have the right to share the content and that it does not violate another person's privacy or rights.
### Accounts and 10-day free trial
Fido requires Google sign-in; there is no guest or anonymous mode. First signed-in use starts one
10-day Free trial for that Fido account. No payment method is required to start the trial, and it
does not automatically become a paid subscription or cause a charge. The window uses server time
and cannot be paused, extended, or restarted by signing out, reinstalling, or changing devices.
Free-tier monthly usage limits apply during the trial. When it ends, ordinary app features are
locked until you manually purchase Premium or Pro. Sign-out, account deletion, purchase restore,
subscription management, and these terms remain reachable.
### Paid subscriptions
Premium and Pro are purchased through Google Play. The purchase screen displays the price, billing
period, and renewal terms before confirmation. A subscription renews at the listed price until
cancelled through Google Play. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Deleting your Fido account does **not** cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel or manage it
separately in Google Play before deleting the account. Refund eligibility is governed by Google
Play's policies and applicable law. Athena76 does not receive or store payment-card or bank details.
### Prohibited use
Do not submit unlawful content, violate another person's privacy, misuse the service, or attempt to
circumvent usage limits or security controls.
### Warranty, liability, and governing law
Fido is provided “as is.” Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be
excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Athena76 is not liable for damages arising from
use of Fido or reliance on AI-generated content. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
### Changes
We may update these terms. We will update the date above and provide an in-app notice when a change
materially affects your rights or how data is used. Where required, we will ask you to accept it.

## Privacy & Data Disclosure
Fido is operated by Athena76. Privacy and data-deletion questions can be sent to
`pactbridge00@gmail.com`.
### Data we process
- **Account:** name, email address, and Google/Firebase account identifiers.
- **Pet profiles:** name, species, breed, gender, age, notes, and a device URI/reference for an
optional profile photo. Profile-photo image bytes remain on the device; the synced URI may not
resolve on another device.
- **Video:** a clip of up to 15 seconds selected or recorded in-app. It may include a pet, people,
voices, and ambient sound. Fido sends it through Athena76's Firebase Cloud Functions to a
third-party AI provider for analysis.
- **Voice journal:** up to 30 seconds of speech and anything else audible in the room, together with
the selected pet's name and breed, sent through Cloud Functions to a third-party AI provider for
transcription and structured parsing. The result is shown for review before saving.
- **Saved records:** sessions, analysis results, journal entries, activities, life events, and
behavior reports in Firestore and Fido's local Room database. A journal gallery attachment stores
a device reference, not a copy of the media file.
- **Chat and report input:** relevant pet profile text, recent sessions and journal entries, the
latest report narrative, and current Pet Chat messages. Chat messages are not saved beyond the
current chat session.
- **Access and billing:** trial times, tier and expiry, Google Play product ID and purchase token,
and monthly analysis, report, chat, and voice usage counters. Google, not Athena76, processes
payment credentials.
- **Feedback you send us:** if you use Settings → Help → Send feedback, we store the message you
wrote, the category you chose, your account ID and email address, your current plan, and — only
if you leave the "Include app & device details" switch on — your app version, Android version,
device model, and language. The form shows those device details on screen before you send them.
Feedback is never sent to an AI provider and is never shown to other users.
- **Security and operations:** App Check/Play Integrity signals processed by Google, plus server
logs that may include account ID, tier, token/usage counts, status, and error details.
We use this data to authenticate users; sync and provide requested features; enforce trial,
subscription, and usage limits; protect Fido; troubleshoot failures; and control service costs.
### AI processing and provider retention
Fido uses third-party AI providers to analyze videos, transcribe voice journal entries, and
generate Pet Chat and Behavior Report responses. The specific provider and model used for each
feature can vary and may change over time as we work to improve accuracy, speed, or cost. Your
video and voice recordings are only ever sent to the provider used for that analysis or
transcription — never to the provider used for Pet Chat or Behavior Reports.
Fido does not persist uploaded raw video or audio after the processing request. Local voice files
are removed after processing, and local session clips are normally removed by the 7-day cache
cleanup unless exported to the gallery. These providers may retain limited safety or operational
logs under their own terms, and some may retain request content for safety or abuse monitoring for
up to 30 days. Provider-specific exceptions and legal obligations may apply.
### Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while the account exists so Fido can provide the service. Pet Chat exists
only for the current session. Technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for
security, debugging, and operations, subject to provider settings and law.
In-app account deletion recursively removes the Firestore user tree and Firebase Authentication
account, then clears Fido's local Room database on the device making the request. A minimal
server-only marker containing the former Firebase account ID and deletion time is retained so an
older cached app session or delayed server event cannot recreate deleted account data. On another
device, Fido validates the saved Firebase session at the next app start; if Firebase confirms that
the account no longer exists, Fido signs out and clears that device's local database. A temporary
network failure does not trigger local deletion. Feedback you sent is stored outside your account
tree and is handled separately: deletion removes your account ID and email address from every
submission and keeps the message text, which is then no longer linked to you or to any account.
Gallery exports and some local cache files may remain and must be removed manually. Deleting the
account does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
Google Cloud infrastructure may retain deleted data temporarily in operational backups under
Google's own deletion processes. Previously processed third-party AI requests remain subject to
the receiving provider's retention practices.
### Recipients, transfers, and advertising
Data is processed by Google services (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Remote
Config, App Check/Play Integrity, and Play Billing) and by third-party AI providers for video
analysis, voice transcription, Pet Chat, and Behavior Reports, each under their own privacy policy.
Providers may process data outside India subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
Fido does not serve ads, include an advertising SDK, or share data with advertising networks.
### Your choices and rights
You can review and edit most pet and journal data in Fido, delete the account in Settings, and
manage a subscription in Google Play. Contact `pactbridge00@gmail.com` to request access,
correction, deletion, or help exercising rights available under applicable law. We may need to
verify your identity.
