NWP Midwest Conference & Directors Retreat
In the past, the sites of the NWP's Midwest Region have hosted a Midwest conference event.
For 2024, Flint Hills Writing Project and Greater Kansas City Writing Project have decided to host the NWP Midwest Conference as a Directors Retreat for site leaders to celebrate, collaborate, and engage in meaningful conversations regarding site work.
Tanya Baker, Executive Director of National Writing Project, plans to attend this three-day meeting as well as lead conference sessions.
Session topics will include: sustainability, university collaboration, AI/Chat GPT, science of reading, and teacher engagement.
Event Schedule
Wednesday, May 29, 5pm - 8pm (dinner provided & welcome)
Thursday, May 30, 8:30am - 5pm (breakfast & lunch provided, round table sessions) Optional: writing marathon activity after 5pm.
Friday, May 31, 8:30am - 12pm (breakfast provided, continuing round table sessions)
