The Seniors do not graduate in alphabetical order. Please watch for the teacher or staff member who is presenting them to look for your Senior.
SENIORS: Wear cap, zipped up gown (and wear something nice under the gown), any leis, cords (dropped around your neck!), sashes. Bring your student ID card and diploma cover. Snap a selfie of yourself sitting in your stadium seat. Enjoy the moment, you earned it!
Covid Screener (This will not be collected and there is no need to print it out). Your pod should do this as a self screener at home. If you do not pass, do not go to graduation!
Graduation is a PUSD sponsored event. Senior parent volunteers are in charge of decorations and clean up of decorations. Please visit the Foothill website at Foothill Graduation for more information.

Hi Everyone!
We are almost there! Here are some graduation details:
*The ceremony will be open to those signed up to be in each graduate's household pod only. We are not able to have additional guests on the property. If you have more than 4 guests, please have the rest watch from home, livestreamed. We will be posting the livestream link closer to the ceremony.
*Check-in will begin at 4:30pm at the Foothill Athletic Stadium. Your entire pod must check in together WITH YOUR GRADUATE, with their ID card. There are no in and out privileges, so please bring everything you need with you.
*Graduates need to bring their diploma cover and senior year ID. If they do not have either of these, they need to come to the main office anytime this week or next week between 9am-3pm.
*Graduates will walk down to the field on their own and meet their teachers at their assigned seats (seats will have graduate name and teacher name on them). Graduates are not able to swap seats, due to the county requirement of a seating chart. All seating is 6 feet apart.
*Graduates will go directly to their seats and the ceremony will begin at 5:30pm. Graduates will be prompted to stand up and walk across the stage with their teacher, who will call their name (no contact) and walk off the stage. Photos will be taken once the student exits the stage. All guests must remain in their seats at all times.
*All guests must complete the attached Covid self screener prior to entering the event. Only guests who pass the screener will be admitted. Parents/guardians must complete the online covid screener for their student that day that is sent daily to their email. If you do not get the daily covid screener, please use this attached one.
*We will be able to admit 1 car per pod, so please bring your entire family in 1 car. All students must have exited the parking lots by 1pm on Friday, May 28, to clear the lot for graduation parking.
*Alameda County regulations require guests to exit the ceremony after the event. We will not be able to congregate on the field or mix household groups. Once the ceremony is over, please exit the same way you entered to control traffic. Please remember to socially distance and only hug, high five, etc. those from your own household.
*Please remember that masks are required the entire time you are on campus, including parking lots, even for fully vaccinated individuals. Anyone not wearing a mask will be asked to wear one, and will need to leave the ceremony if they do not comply, even outside.
*Graduates need to arrive wearing their cap and gown.
*There is no graduation practice this year, so as not to risk the need to quarantine before graduation.

DECORATING CAPS
Seniors may decorate their caps if they would like. All decorations will be checked by staff at the ceremony, must be appropriate and be less than 1/4 inch tall.
GRADUATION CEREMONY
All seniors need to complete this graduation survey emailed by Vice Principal Jennifer Friesen by Monday, May 3, 2021. The survey was sent to all seniors and their parents, but must be completed by the student through the student PUSD email account, and signed by the parent electronically at the end. The survey will also allow the student to select a staff member to call their name at graduation.
GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS
If seniors purchased announcements from Josten's, they can be picked up at the office windows Monday-Friday from 12:20pm-3pm.
DIPLOMAS
Seniors do not need to attend the graduation ceremony in order to receive their diplomas. Whether or not you attend the ceremony, your diploma will be mailed to you after the ceremony. You must have returned all of your books, chromebook, etc. in order to get your diploma.
GRADUATION PHOTOS
Studio One will be present at the graduation ceremony to photograph each graduate as they walk off of the stage. All social distancing protocol will be followed and families can use this link to order photos, if they wish.
GRADUATION AWARDS
A graduation awards publication will be sent to all families in May. Seniors who know they are receiving a scholarship and wish to be recognized should fill out this form by May 14. All seniors who qualify for a cord or other award will receive these with their cap and gown pickup or through their club/organization in a manner arranged by their advisor.
TEXTBOOKS/CALCULATORS/LIBRARY BOOKS/CHROMEBOOK RETURN/YEARBOOKS
Attached you will find detailed information about the end of the year textbook, Chromebook, library book and class material return. Students will be receiving an email from Destiny this morning of all of their checked out books and materials, so they know what needs to be returned.
Hybrid students will return items within their in-person school day and remote students will participate in a drive through process. We encourage remote students to have someone drop them off and ask to try to arrive according to the (grade level/last name) schedule, as we have created this plan and procedure in order to respect social distancing and minimize vehicle and foot traffic.
