Darryl Edwards
General Manager, Foundations for Farming International
What a change in dynamic since both Brian and Craig have left Zimbabwe. Saying that we miss them just does not explain how we feel. But it has ensured that we step up to the plate and try to fill the giant shoes that they left (I found another use for mulch). Thank you both for the years that you spent mentoring and discipling this Zimbabwean team. We pray that we will honour God in our attempt to follow in your footsteps.
This year has been really busy to date and my schedule to November is already full with 3 in-depth trainings and 6 nations to visit before December. I thank the Lord for the incredible privilege it is to continue to serve all the faithful servants that have joined this ministry over the years.
Since April, there have been 2 in-depth trainings. The first in May, Hazel and I were able to serve at the incredible Rehoboth Centre in South Africa. Thank you Johan, Frieda and your team for the amazing centre that you have built and the love of Jesus that already exudes from every brick and garden of that station. The June in-depth in Zimbabwe had 39 participants from 12 nations and we had to turn away many. The September training is fully booked with 30 and there is still demand, so we have an October and a November training scheduled. Both of these are almost full as well, so God is surely stirring hearts and hopefully birthing many more stations throughout the world. “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few.”
I had the honour of joining Craig, Chuck and Handre in Madagascar where we will be following up on the team that we trained from there in January. It is so exciting to see how the Lord is touching the hearts of national leaders. Great things are happening in Rwanda at this level too. Next will be Zambia, where Pfumvudza is becoming a buzzword and we can all pray that Brian gets to meet with the president.
Bless you all. God willing I will be visiting you to serve you in whatever capacity I am needed.
