Looking through the reports linked to our latest newsletter, I once again marvel at who the Lord has assembled around the vision that He gave to Brian forty-one years ago. In a secular world we would have to scour the planet to find such men and women of passion, gifting, and purpose.
We have been called individually for a huge collective movement of God for the sake of the broken one whom He loves so much. We read in Psalm 33 v 15 that “He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.”
Yes, Jesus is watching “our works” for sure, but a question I test myself with is “are these works, this incredible ministry of FfF, born out of our unadulterated love for Him alone?”
We need to be settled in our hearts, the “why” of what we are doing.
Time is short and when we stand before Jesus (as we all surely will!) I ask myself what words I will hear from the masters’ lips. I believe it will be one of two sentences; both from the book of Matthew, (both verse 23) either from Chapter 25 “Well done good and faithful servant” or from Chapter 7 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"
Sobering! I am no theologian, but to me there is no middle ground, we follow Christ, or we don’t. “But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” (Matt 7v14)
So, that is why we lift the name of Jesus in all that we do, all the time, in all circumstances.
When we are persecuted for our faith – Give ‘em Jesus!
When we are despondent – Give ‘em Jesus!
When we feel far from Him – Give ‘em Jesus!
When we are misunderstood, falsely accused - Give ‘em Jesus!
“And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.” (John 12v32)
Jesus chose us ALL and He deserves our ALL!
What a joy it is to serve along such giants of the faith in the FfF International family!
All our love,
Craig and Bridgie
