PLUMB LINE...
“No, O people, the LORD has told you what is’ good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God”. – Micah 6:8
Dear Champions and Friends,
As we reflect on the heart of God for this season, Micah 6:8 stands as a plumb line for all we do at Foundations for Farming. It's a simple verse, but it's also profoundly challenging. It calls us back to the basics—not of farming techniques or project strategies, but of the very posture of our hearts before God and people.
To do what is right means we must not cut corners, exploit, or take what’s not ours. In every training, every field, every conversation, let “our light break forth like the dawn, your righteousness shall go before you;” Isaiah 58v8. This is stewardship—doing what is right, even when no one is watching.
To love mercy is to carry the heart of Jesus. This is not a reluctant tolerance of others, but a deep, eager compassion. Mercy must be evident in how we work with the poor, how we forgive those who wrong us, and how we restore dignity to the broken.
And to walk humbly with our God—this is the anchor. We cannot lead effectively unless we first learn to follow. At Foundations for Farming, we are not building a brand but stewarding a Kingdom movement. God has entrusted us with His principles not for our fame, but for His glory. Our success is not measured by hectares transformed or nations reached, but by obedience to His voice.
So, as we expand into new territories and equip new trainers, may our methods be excellent—but even more, may our motives be pure. Let us walk low, serve faithfully, and love deeply. That is the heart of our Father. That is the legacy we want to leave.
Thank you for walking this journey with us. Your prayers, partnership, and faith are the lifeblood of this mission.
With gratitude and purpose,
Craig
