Relevant Paper: Impact of Sense of Belonging and School Climate on Engineering Students: Case Study of the ASSSET Program
This study examines how a structured, evidence-based scholarship program can strengthen undergraduate engineersā sense of belonging and perceptions of equity: two important motivators of student success and persistence. Focusing on a sample of low-income, academically talented engineering students, the study evaluates the impact of integrated supports including cohort-based learning, mentoring, internships, and a senior research project centered on emerging energy technologies and their market application.
