  • Sep 11, 2020: Our Journal paper entitled" Cyber-Resilient Sliding Mode Consensus Based Secondary Control Scheme for Islanded AC Microgrids " has been accepted for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications ". Great work by our PhD candidate Ali Jafarian.

  • September 3, 2020: CARE group received $10,000 SURE award from Louisiana Board of Regents

  • September 1, 2020: Our NSF-CIMM Track#2 sub-award proposal got funded. This is going to be a joint research work with Mechanical Engineering (Dr. Emblom) and Industrial Tech (Dr. Massiha)

  • Aug 24, 2020: Our group received UL Lafayette 2020-21 Educational Award in the amount of $900. This is a joint effort between our group and Dr. Hassan Najafi's research lab at the School of Computing and Informatics .

  • Aug 13, 2020: Ferdowsi and his team received $649,825 from NSF to enhance research and education in Energy Technologies

  • July 2020: Our group received $12,000 from NASA LaSPACE for two REU projects. Congrats to our 2020-2021 LURA Scholars Ms. Arianna Brantley and Mr. Ethan Hoggard.

  • June 2020: Ferdowsi was elevated to the grade of IEEE Senior member .

  • March 2020: Christopher Williams (our Undergraduate Research Apprentice) was selected as a finalist for the E&T presentation competition. Congratulations Chris, good job!

  • Jan 2020: Four (4) Supervised Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) proposals got funded by Louisiana Board of Regents, Total $20,000.

  • Jan 2020: Dr. Ferdowsi's proposal entitled " Real-Time Quality Assessment of 3D Printers Using the Complexity Metric" got funded by Consortium for Innovation in Manufacturing and Materials (CIMM) sub-program of LA Board of Regents, $9,925

  • Jan 7, 2020: Our paper entitled "Real-Time Analysis of a Multi-Agent-Based Distributed Control Strategy for Islanded AC Microgrids " was accepted for presentation at PSC 2020 conference in Clemson, SC (Mar 10-13, 2020).

  • Nov 10, 2019: Our paper entitled "Identification of Small-Signal Dynamic Faults in Distribution Systems Utilizing Intelligent Classifiers" was accepted for presentation at ISGT 2020 conference in Washington DC (Feb 15-18, 2020).
