The youth prevention program for the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems focuses on classroom education for delaware students to develop an understanding about the risks and signs of problem gambling disorder, video gaming disorder, and the impact that social media and their digital life in general can have on their mental health, grades, relationships, and productivity.
Our "Protect Your Brain" presentations aim to connect the dots with substance disorders and digital disorders, and how they both impact the same reward regions of the brain and can lead to some of the same dysfunctionality in life.
Our goal is to create awareness of the forces at work in our Delaware students' digital lives and provide tips and resources for navigating the gaming, gambling, and mobile device landscape in a healthy way.
