Felipe Espinoza De Janon, PhD(c)
I am a biodiversity researcher studying how invasive species reshape ecosystems, economies, and conservation priorities from local to global scales. My work integrates field ecology, large-scale biodiversity datasets, and quantitative modelling to identify patterns of ecological disruption and support evidence-based management.
I have led and contributed to research projects across the ecuadorian Coast and Amazon as well as in the Galapagos Islands, combining intensive fieldwork with data-driven analyses. Alongside research, I have taught and mentored undergraduate students in ecology, biodiversity, and environmental science, bridging research, training, and applied conservation in some of the world’s most biodiverse landscapes.
