Fernwood PTSA would like to begin After School Enrichment Program Winter Session in mid January. We would like to find out information on the type of classes students would be interested in, and if you are willing to be a volunteer in a class. Please note this is an interest-only form for capacity estimation. Filling out the form does NOT guarantee the spot for the class. If interest exceeds maximum capacity, a computer generated lottery randomly determines the acceptance and wait list order of those who sign up the interest-only form. Class that does not receive enough interest to meet minimum requirement will be canceled.
Note: Please keep in mind that we require a PTSA parent/guardian volunteer to be a member of PTSA and be present during each enrichment session. This person can also help coordinate the class. The PTSA parent volunteers must complete the Northshore Volunteer Application Process in advance. If you are interested, please specify in the form below. Without a volunteer, the classes would be canceled.
Due to the recent challenges of finding parent chaperones, we decided to give priority (waive lottery) to parents who step up to be parent chaperones for the whole session. Please indicate your intention to be parent chaperone for the whole session in the interest form. Parents can only take advantage of this priority once. We will determine the parent chaperones of each class on first come first serve basis. To maximize access across the community, our standard policy for priority spots is one spot per family, except under certain circumstances. If there is no parent chaperone for the whole session, the class will be canceled even before lottery.
Classes are slated to begin in mid January. If you are interested, please sign up by filling out the form linked here by November 30th at 11:59pm. Please include a parent/guardian email address and fill out a separate form for each child. Once lottery occurs, parents/guardian will receive an email no later than December 6th about the lottery status (accepted/waitlisted). Lottery winners will have 72 hours priority to register. After that, registration will open to waitlists.
Limited scholarship available for eligible students.

About North Creek High School TSA
We are a group of sophomores from North Creek High School, part of the NCHS TSA Chapter, who are interested in spreading knowledge on technology. The Technology Student Association(TSA) is a national student-led organization that empowers young people through technology, leadership, and innovation. At North Creek High School, our TSA chapter provides students opportunities to develop skills in coding, engineering, design, and problem-solving through hands-on projects, competitions, and community outreach.
Through this program, we aim to inspire younger students and pass on our knowledge, for them to explore STEM topics, build confidence, and discover potential future pathways in technology and engineering.
