Me alegra que estés aquí. Welcome — I’m Stephanie (She/Her/Ella).
I’m a relational psychotherapist & the founder of Fenix Wellness. I am dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate healing, resilience, & renewed purpose. With over seven years of clinical experience, I work with people impacted by complex chronic trauma, substance misuse, relationship challenges, grief & complex life transitions.
I hold two Master’s degrees one in Clinical Social Work & the second in Healthcare Administration both from Loyola University Chicago. I have additonal training in Alcohol & Drug Counseling, EMDR, Sexual Trauma, Domestic Violence, Complex Grief & Suicide assessment.
I founded Fenix Wellness with the belief that healing begins when people are met with compassion, dignity, & genuine understanding. My goal is to create a space where individuals feel safe to explore their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, & move toward meaningful healing at their own pace.
In addition to my work in private practice, I am also engaged in work at the intersection of mental health & the justice system, supporting individuals impacted by legal involvement. This experience has deepened my commitment to advocating for equitable access to mental health care & to recognizing the dignity and humanity of individuals who have been historically excluded by traditional systems of care.
I am also passionate about accessible education, which led me to adjunct instructor roles. Across these roles, my work remains grounded in the core values of social justice & the belief that healing is possible for every individual.
Through Fenix Wellness, I strive to create a therapeutic environment where individuals feel seen, heard, & empowered as they move toward healing, resilience, and a renewed sense of self.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in a feminist Relational, mind-body framework combined with solution-focused techniques and mindfulness practices. I believe that healing is a collaborative process. When you work with me, you’ll receive compassionate, personalized support to navigate challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, identity, relationships and more.
Creating a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment is my priority. I honor and respect all identities and experiences, ensuring that my practice is a place where you feel seen, heard, and valued.
Taking the first step toward healing can feel vulnerable, but you don’t have to do it alone.

I named this practice "Fenix" ( Spanish for Phoenix) wellness because to me when an individual attends therapy to heal, to grow from dark places it symbolizes a revitalization. A revitalization for this individual to have genuine serenity in their life. Just like a Phoenix, the person that comes to therapy is lifted from darkness toward light, from oppression toward liberation.
