Personal Biography
Min Jae PARK is currently an Assistant Professor at Pukyong National University. He earned his BS in 2015 and PhD in 2020 from Korea University. Prior to joining Pukyong National University in 2023, he served as a Research Professor at Korea University. His research interests include 1) steel and composite structures involving concrete, polymers, and timbers, 2) structural fire engineering from the design phase through demolition, 3) structural analysis under static, dynamic, fire, and impact loads, 4) performance-based design for value engineering (VE) and resilience, 5) off-site construction such as steel modular buildings, and 6) building forensics engineering for structural defect detection, reverse engineering, and structural health monitoring. He has over 50 publications, including "Performance-based Structural Fire Design Guideline for Steel Structures in Korea". Notably, he conducted the first performance-based structural fire design project (HD GRC) in Korea and has also worked on data centers, sports facilities, and related projects. (OCT. 2025)
