The most important thing is to let go that it is your fault. You are in no way responsible for the behavior of anyone else. It is the aggressor's fault and you have neither provoked nor encouraged the violence you have suffered.
Right after the assault & filing a complaint
If you are going to make a complaint, do not take a shower or take off your clothes. Go directly to the police station with someone you trust if possible.
IMPORTANT: The police station must register your complaint, they have an obligation to do so even if they try to make you file a handbook (article 15.3 of the penal code).
