Through the Hijama of cupping, we release tension, restore balance, and promote natural healing. Our skilled practitioners focus on your unique needs, delivering a relaxing and rejuvenating experience designed just for you.
Wet Cupping (Hijama)
Hijama is a form of wet cupping. It’s derived from the word “Hajm”, which means sucking. Hijama involves performing cupping followed by small incisions into the uppermost layer of the dermis, depending on the condition and location of pain. This is followed by the reapplication of the cups which draws out toxic blood.
Why is detoxing the blood important? Our bodies are constantly exposed to environmental toxins found in the water we drink, the food we eat, and the air we breathe. While our liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system work hard to remove harmful compounds, the growing number of toxins we encounter daily can overwhelm these natural detox systems. When this happens, toxin overload can occur, potentially causing significant harm to the body.
Dry Cupping
Dry cupping is a traditional therapy where specialised cups are placed on the skin to create suction, improving blood circulation and promoting natural healing. Unlike wet cupping, it doesn't involve making incisions or drawing blood.
The suction effect enhances oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues, relieves muscle tension, reduces pain, and breaks down adhesions or scar tissue, improving mobility. It also supports detoxification by stimulating the lymphatic system, encourages faster muscle recovery, and promotes relaxation by calming the nervous system.
This non-invasive treatment is suitable for many and has been proven to reduce inflammation, which is widely recognised as the root cause of many illnesses.
Soft Tissue Massage
Soft tissue massage targets the muscles, tendons, and ligaments to alleviate tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. This therapeutic technique helps to release tightness, reduce muscle soreness, and enhance flexibility. It's ideal for relieving stress, improving mobility, and speeding up recovery from physical activity or injury.
Soft Tissue Massage is a great addition to any Hijama session, helping to enhance the results of your treatment.
Myofascial release (Cupping Massage)
Myofascial therapy with cupping massage combines the therapeutic benefits of cupping with targeted muscle release techniques. During this treatment, cupping creates a gentle suction on the skin, lifting the fascia and muscles to increase blood flow and release built-up tension.
The cups are then moved along the body, providing a dynamic massage that helps break down adhesions, scar tissue, and muscle knots. This cupping massage improves flexibility, reduces pain, enhances circulation, and accelerates recovery by promoting deeper muscle relaxation and reducing inflammation. It’s an excellent choice for relieving chronic muscle tension, post-workout soreness, and overall stress.
