Professor of Health Informatics in the IU Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. He is a
health informatician focusing on the pioneering application of blockchain technology in health care systems. He
is committed to addressing salient challenges in patient privacy, data security, and consistency.
Dr. Reina Ortiz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community and Global Health, IU Fairbanks School of Public Health. He is a global health scientist and practitioner with expertise in the application of behavioral economics, community-engaged research for the development of culturally appropriate, effective, and efficient HIV/AIDS and other infectious disease prevention strategies, with a focus on vulnerable and minoritized populations.
