Welcome to my website!

I am currently an Associate Professor in Finance at the Survey and Research Center for China Household Finance, Research Institute of Economics and Management, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), China. I graduated from the University of Birmingham and obtained my Ph.D. degree in Economics in 2020.  I am also a member of the China Energy Finance Network (WeChat ID: EF_online).

My primary research interest is empirically studying systemic risk in financial markets. My research interests also extend to the topics of systemic risk and its contagion in commodity markets, energy finance, climate finance, and banking

Since the global financial crisis, it has been central to global and domestic regulatory and supervisory bodies to identify the source of systemic risk and its various patterns of contagion and amplification. The various methods of capturing and identifying the sources and contagion mechanisms of systemic risk have been increasingly applied to the energy and the broader commodity markets, since the financialization of these markets in the early 2000s.

Please feel free to contact me if you share common research interests or have any questions about the specific studies I am currently conducting.
