Welcome to FeelingVault.
This app is built and maintained by David Southworth (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We act as the data controller only in relation to personal data that you provide to us directly, such as when contacting us for support.
This Privacy Policy explains how FeelingVault handles your information.
1. Data Collected Through the App
FeelingVault is designed with a local-only architecture.
All information you enter into the app, including emotions, journal entries, dates and times, is stored solely on your own device.
We do not:
create user accounts
collect or receive your journal or emotional log data
transmit your in-app data to external servers
use third-party analytics or tracking tools within the app
store your in-app data remotely
We do not have access to the content you create in the app.

If you contact us by email, we will process:

your name (if provided)
the content of your message
We use this information only to respond to your enquiry.
Our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in providing support and maintaining the app.
We do not use this information for marketing and we do not sell or share it with third parties.
We retain support emails only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry.
3. App Stores and Platform Providers
FeelingVault is distributed via platform providers such as Apple App Store and Google Play.
When you download or use the app, those platform providers may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies. This may include device information, usage data, or transaction data.
We do not control this processing and recommend reviewing the relevant platform privacy policy for further details.
4. Data Security
As all in-app data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on the security measures you use on your phone or tablet, such as device passcodes, encryption and backups.
We cannot access, recover or restore your journal data if your device is lost, damaged or reset.
5. Children’s Privacy
FeelingVault is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has contacted us and provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
