There are other main factors, including a lack of access to basic needs that the community should have, like, issues they face with not having clean drinking water.

Low-income community members have to face many challenges to care for their children. Firstly, there is a lack of proper governance and leadership, as there is no adequate quality food, and on top of that, they are facing a huge challenge of the poor healthcare system and limited social mobility.

There are so many other reasons that are leading to poor community suffering when it comes to food, water and health outcomes, and poor housing conditions; they are living in poverty and marginalization conditions; these are the main contributions that cause their lower life expectancy.

The people living in the low-income communities suffer most in terms of economic development, as they also struggle with poor housing and basic sanitation.

In those areas, there is limited access to basic needs, they lack a better and quality education standard that children need to compete with those in high-income areas, and also the high level of unemployment, and the inadequate infrastructure that the community need to have.

In addition to the above-mentioned issues, these communities are facing social issues such as the rising crime committed, especially by the young people, there are conflicts within the community, and economic hardship and instability.

Addressing Poverty in South Africa

South Africa, like many other countries on the continent of Africa and globally, is facing a high percentage rate of unemployment.

They are facing severe life challenges, with a lack of nutritious quality food, and they don't have clean running water, with insecurity being a major problem they are facing.

The suffering of many people in the community they face is due to factors like poverty, unemployment, low educational level, lack of jobs and inequality.

A good example in South African low-income population communities, for instance, a large number of significant portion of the population is living below the poverty line. People are suffering daily from quality food shortages, and they need to feed their children.

Unfortunately, this situation of lack of sufficient food, water and security in the communities is happening in this century, where people are angry because of the food poverty line that is dividing the poor areas and those who can afford it, or the rich.

This is happening, especially children bear the brunt, while millions of poor social economic vulnerable individuals lack access to clean and safe running drinking water and adequate basic sanitation.

These factors and their daily challenges are regarded as the main issues which are increasing the chances of getting various dangerous illnesses and terrible infectious diseases. 

Children and all the community members must have access to basic food supplies, access to better, cleaner water and shelter.

The situation of this kind is highly exacerbated by the fact that there is a bigger margin of unequal distribution of essential basic resources, which the vulnerable populations cannot afford to access. 

The big number of those who are affected mostly are the children of a young age and the women-headed households, most of whom are unemployed.

Support Locals From Grassroots

There is a need for immediate call to action, especially to inadequate community infrastructure, which is urgently requiring a combination of both short-term government intervention.

We are taking this great opportunity to address the suffering of the starving child experience and the hardship conditions that the community members are facing. We encourage the world to come to their aid, support and care.

It is essential for the community and the stakeholders, NGOs' interventions and engagement for a workable plan to change the situation, and there is a greater need for long-term resilience working efforts to act as improving basic nutritious food assistance, water, shelter and the main factor the community faces is the issue of sanitation security.

We are working to see the community celebrate the economic achievement when family members have good jobs and with respect for employers, who pay them a good salary and who know that they have little children they are caring for. 

It is true that governments' assistance to the communities is less; more needs to be done to have an impact and a huge difference in their lives.

In many low-income areas, there is poor service delivery, corruption and financial mismanagement that lead to a lack of basic services that the community need to have.

There are conflicts in the community and family members that also slow the community development, crime, and violence, with death at a young age playing a bigger role in the underdevelopment of the individuals.
