The Keokuk County-class Cruiser is a class of Cruiser in service with the United Federation Air Force. It was built by Gateway Co. as a part of the 200-ship fleet mandated by President Connor Zink. The vessels are all named after US Counties. The first is named after Keokuk County, Iowa.
The 200-ship Fleet was originally proposed by Vice President James Duval as a way of showing the power of the Federation, and eventually, this realized, in the form of Connor Zink's Fleet Increase Program, known to the population as the 200-ship Fleet.
These were the first new ships to be constructed for the mandated fleet, and 16 were originally planned. The Design follows the same basic lines as the Lexington-class Frigates, but are substantially larger.
