Board of Directors 

 President - Al Sirignano 

Al Sirignano takes the helm of the FGC Board starting in 2023. Al had a long career in the Food Industry. His career provided the opportunity to live in many parts of the country. In September of 2001 he made his final move here to the Pittsboro, Chapel Hill area. Al is an avid golfer and has been a major contributor and supporter of the FGC club, served as Mom, and recently initiated the replacement of our aging Golf Scheduling System.  He has great ideas and aspirations for increasing the fun and competitiveness of our golf club.

Vice President - Dave Jarrett

 Dave retired in 2022 after a long career in the pharmaceutical industry. He moved from Chapel Hill to Fearrington Village in early 2024 and joined FGC shortly thereafter. An avid golfer for most of his life, he really enjoys the camaraderie of the club and the opportunity to play the many different courses throughout the area.

Secretary - Mark Stafford Smith

Although Mark hasn’t scored even close to his age, he is in awe of the several club members who have. 34 years ago Mark and his wife came from Eastern Canada to Durham for further training and ended up being introduced to golf (and staying as an academic cardiothoracic anesthesiologist at Duke).  They raised their 3 kids in Chapel Hill and moved to Fearrington as he retired in 2023.  He has very much enjoyed the strong comradery among group members and exposure to a wide variety of challenging golf courses since he joined in 2024.   

Tournaments Director - Jerry Gianni

Jerry is a returning Board member and served as the director of the 2022 Fall Memorial Tournament.  It was a very successful tournament and received many words of appreciation from our club members.   

Jerry has been a regular player in the club and enjoys getting out to play,  but only on those days that "end in Y".   

Treasurer - Pat Skiver

Pat rejoined the FGC after a brief hiatus.  She previously served on the board as tournament chair.  Pat moved to Fearrington Village in 2007 from Michigan where she managed a medical practice.  Being a part of the club again has been a joy.

Mom Coordinator - Boyd Webb

Boyd is a true North Carolinian and has a 34 year career as an educator after spending time in the Air Force Reserves.

He settled into Galloway Ridge after building a home on the golf course of Treyburn just outside of Durham and has played the most games of league golf since the clubs inception.   He has golf his age on several occasions.

Membership Chairperson - Chris Horn

After moving from the Asheville area in 2020, Chris joined FGC in May 2021

and has been an active member ever since.  Enjoying the diverse group of

courses and equally interesting fellow members, he joined the Board in 2022

as Membership Director.  Now in his 4th year, he remains in his Membership

role with additional responsibilities for tournaments and special events.

He lives in Fearrington Village with his wife Shirely and energetic dog

Murphy.  His Membership Director mission remains introducing FGC to the

public, attracting new golfers and helping make FGC a great experience for

everyone.
