Fearrington Golf Club:  A golf club with 60+ members and no golf course!

We take advantage of living in a golf-rich part of the country and play courses mostly within a 35-mile range of Pittsboro, from Mebane/Graham/Greensboro to Sanford and Southern Pines.  FGC’s primary goal is to make golf easily available for members who enjoy playing regularly with a friendly group, on a wide variety of great local courses.  Often played courses include Mill Creek, Mebane and Quail Ridge, Sanford.

Our membership includes men and women with a range of golfing abilities (driver distance and handicap).  For scheduling and scorekeeping we have an easy-to-use phone app called EZGolf.  Friendly competition adds to the interest for some, with handicap-adjusted scoring giving everyone the chance to win, playing from tees appropriate to ability and age.

Outings are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays year-round weather permitting…members sign up when golf is convenient for them.  Members often travel to outings together, and after-round enjoyment of a beverage and snack is common.  In addition, there are three tournaments a year involving mixed-handicap teams, and several annual social events also bring people together outside of golf.

We welcome new members to share in the enjoyment of golf.  Our members range in age from 57 to 93.  You can learn more through the Fearrington Golf Club link on the FHA website (under the Clubs tab), or contact Chris Horn at FearringtonGolfClub@gmail.com.
