Join us for the FEC–SIMSEA Youth Joint Seminar featuring Dr. Anusha Wijesundara (Ocean University of Sri Lanka), who will present research on mixing dynamics and eddy formation around Sri Lanka and in the Bay of Bengal. The talk will discuss field observations and ocean measurements used to examine circulation patterns, turbulence, and monsoon-driven processes shaping ocean dynamics in the region. The webinar is part of the FEC–SIMSEA Youth Joint Seminar Series under the Future Earth Meta-Network, which provides a platform for early-career researchers to share knowledge and foster collaboration in coastal and marine sustainability. Meta-Network Gap Analysis Survey
The Meta-Network is conducting a survey on Collaboration, Gaps, and Opportunities in Oceans, Marginal Seas, and Coasts to build an evidence-based understanding of existing initiatives and where coordination is most needed. The results will guide the design of a multi-layered, cross-scale network of networks, strengthen linkages with the Asia Science Mission for Sustainability and support strategic alignment across global, regional, national, and local efforts.
Interim results from the first set of responses are now available.
