SIMSEA Meta-Network Meeting in Quezon City, Philippines
The Regional Future Earth Meta-Network & Core-and-Network System (CNS) Meeting, held in the Philippines on 30–31 March 2026, brought together researchers, government representatives, and sustainability practitioners from across Asia to advance the development of a multi-layered sustainability knowledge infrastructure. Discussions focused on strengthening connections among existing networks, knowledge systems, and stakeholder platforms to support science-policy engagement, capacity development, and sustainability action across local, national, and regional scales. Meta-Network Gap Analysis Survey
The Meta-Network is conducting a survey on Collaboration, Gaps, and Opportunities in Oceans, Marginal Seas, and Coasts to build an evidence-based understanding of existing initiatives and where coordination is most needed. The results will guide the design of a multi-layered, cross-scale network of networks, strengthen linkages with the Asia Science Mission for Sustainability and support strategic alignment across global, regional, national, and local efforts.
Interim results from the first set of responses are now available.
