The complete end of segregated schools for Black students was accomplished by the end of the 1965-66 school year, when Eleven Oaks Elementary and James Lee Elementary Schools were closed. The only formerly all-Black elementary facility to remain open as an integrated school was Louise Archer Elementary School, originally the Vienna Colored School.
