Area (noun): a specific space, region, or section
Complain (verb): to say that something is wrong
Gather (verb): to collect or pick things up
Market (noun): a place where people buy and sell food or goods
Price (noun): the amount of money that you have to pay for something
Rapid (adjective): very quick
Ripe (adjective): fully grown and read to be eaten
Seller (noun): a person who gives something in return for money
Surround (verb): to be on all sides of someone or something
Yank (verb): to pull something in a sharp, sudden way
Dictation Sentences: I will read the sentence and the student will write it out on their test. These sentences review a key phonics concept from the week. Please have students practice writing these in preparation for the test.
