Payments and Fraud

All fraud screening and payment processing for Global-E orders happens within Global-E tools. Global-E can put orders on hold to do fraud reviews (max of 8 hours) and will either accept or decline them.
If declined, the customer will receive an email.
PayPal accounts are charged immediately when a customer places an order.
For credit cards, we take a pre-authorization when the order is placed and charge the card upon dispatch to the customer (or after 5 days*, Whichever is the shortest).
*Otherwise, the pre-authorization will expire, and we will be unable to charge the customer for the order
