Description 

Use the Generic Credit option when: 

• Refunding the customer for returned merchandise received at the warehouse when the original method of payment is no longer active. 

• Refunding a non-working reward certificate. 

• Refund any taxes due. 

Instructions 

1. Place a check mark on the line item(s) and click “Check Item Options”. 

2. From the ADJUSTMENTS drop-down menu select GENERIC CREDIT. 

3. Enter the credit amount in the merchandise field and key in memo. 

4. Click “NO”, select OTHER CREDIT CARD and enter the customer’s credit card number.

• Tax is calculated by the system 

• A generic credit can be made on item, package, and order level
