Senior Division Special Award Winners

The Fauquier County Regional Science and Engineering Fair is an affiliate of the Intel ISEF and Broadcom Masters programs. The fair is open to all public, private, and home schooled 6-12th graders who attend a school within Fauquier County.

The first place winner from the Senior Division goes on to compete at the Intel ISEF fair and top Senior division winners qualify to compete at the Virginia State Science & Engineering Fair (VSSEF). The top 10% of projects from the Junior Division fair qualify to apply for the Broadcom Masters competition. Both the Senior and Junior divisions also include Special Awards given by various groups and organizations to recognize our students for their work in specific areas of study. This year's fair directors include Erica Deane from Highland School and Kara Reffitt from Kettle Run High School.

The Fauquier County Science and Engineering Fair began in 2013, with the first fair held in the spring of 2014. A special thank you to previous fair directors and assistants, Vineeta Ribeiro, Dee Thompson, and Chandra Wilkemeyer for providing this opportunity for our students.

The fair would not have been possible without the amazing monetary, time, and resource contributions of Dr. & Mrs. David and Mary Collins and their continued support from Learning Tree International, Inc.

The major sponsors of the fair include Fauquier County Public Schools, Linda and John Suter, the Vos Foundation, and the Fauquier Excellence in Education Foundation.
