PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how the FAULT app ("FAULT", "the app", "we") handles information. By using FAULT, you agree to this policy.
SUMMARY
FAULT is built to be private by default. You do not create an account, and your supplier and signal data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a server that collects or stores your personal data, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
- We do not require an account, email, name, or password to use the app.
- We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, or device identifiers for tracking.
DATA YOU CREATE
The suppliers, signals, notes, and settings you enter are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. This data is not transmitted to us and is not stored on any server we control. If you delete the app, or use Reset in Settings, this data is removed from your device.
AI FEATURES AND THIRD-PARTY PROCESSING
When you use an AI feature (risk scoring, executive briefings, signal extraction, or ask-your-log), the relevant text you entered (such as supplier names, categories, and signal descriptions) is sent over a secure connection to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the result. This processing is required only to produce the output you requested. Anthropic processes this data under its commercial API terms and does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into signal text. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
PURCHASES
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple handles billing, receipts, and renewals under Apple's terms and privacy policy.
CHILDREN
FAULT is a business productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13.
DATA SECURITY
Your data resides on your device and is protected by the device's own security. AI requests are sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
YOUR CHOICES
- You can delete individual suppliers and signals at any time.
- You can erase all app data using Reset in Settings.
- You can stop all third-party AI processing by not using the AI features.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
