Fast & Furious: Monaco has a wide range of shopping options available. From car garages, to high stakes casinos, to the idyllic Italian Riviera, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
In setting up a short-term base in Monaco, the Toretto Crew has each taken to the city differently. Although racing is always on their mind, Dom and Letty have headed the Toretto Garage, Tej a tech warehouse, Roman a new clothing apparel company, while Brian and Mia have enjoyed the quaint side of the Mediterranean.
Similar to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which has a high volume of shopping venues, Fast & Furious: Monaco has a number of smaller shops each themed to different elements of the city and characters of the franchise, representing everything the Fast and the Furious has to offer while also expanding the sense of scale for the detailed and varied land.
Toretto Garage
Main Gift Shop & Motor Apparel
Family… loyalty… corona beer…
Guests departing The Fast & the Furious roller-coaster attraction exit into the expansive Toretto Garage, the main shopping venue of The Fast & Furious Monaco. Owned and run by Dom & Letty during their stay in the Riviera, the Garage is like any other the gang has known -- filled with custom-tuned cars and parts to build their own.
On display throughout the garage are famous cars from The Fast and the Furious franchise, including Dominic Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger, Brian O’Connor’s 1999 Nissan Skyline, and Hans Lue’s 1997 Mazda RX-7.
All along the concrete walls are hangers for apparel and souvenirs, with the best-selling items of the other, smaller shops also sold here. But there’s also unique items, like shirts, hats, and miniature cars exclusive to the garage.
But this isn’t just any garage -- this is one for the fast and furious, and you can certainly tell with its atmosphere. Exciting racing beats play throughout, and the above lighting system has been retrofitted to have colorful dance lights that bob with the music. Graffiti is colorfully sprayed about, illustrating more vehicles and characters from the past eight Fast & Furious films.
In the far back is an elevated platform for semi-frequent Meet and Greets, happening twice daily. Present is either Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto) or Dwyane “the Rock” Johnson (Luke Hobbs).
Universal bought them out as actors on a four-year retainer, so Vin Diesel and the Rock just kinda hang out there now, which incidentally also stopped them from making any movies after the Fate of the Furious (2017).
… we kid.
Anyway, they come in their iconic outfits -- Toretto in undershirt, and Hobbs SWAT uniform.
Tej’s Techhouse
Robotic Goods and Apparel
Adjacent to the Toretto Garage is Tej’s Techouse, an all-white tech playhouse for Tej to develop new technologies enhancing the Toretto Crew’s adventures. Having grown exhausted of using Roman as the test dummy, Tej is releasing his products on an “open beta” for testing.
His main product is a build-your-own RC car, inspired by concept art for a potential upcoming Fast and Furious movie. Guests are encouraged to create their own cars at a workstation, delineating space to design each element of the car - the wheels, engine, and other special features, although they are all cosmetic. After which, they will be assigned a number and receipt to pick up the car at the end of the day just outside the park.
Seasonally, Tej develops new technologies changing up the cosmetics and robotics for guests to enjoy!
Little Tokyo
Japanese and International Travels
Hans and Gisele are always visiting new places, but their long-term goal is to visit Tokyo. Returning to Monaco with the crew, they’ve set up a small side-front selling world travels to Tokyo and other global goods. Tucked into a small corner, this area of Monaco takes on a distinctively international / East-Asian theme, with references to The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. It includes a few buildings and a central outside area, covered by canopy.
Runway Roman’s
Monaco Club Attire
Roman’s always been a bit of a show-off. And now that he’s a millionaire, he’s able to show off properly -- no, not his money, but his sense of style. Representing the higher-end shopping and entertainment of Monaco City, Runway Roman’s sells both everyday and smart casual items fitted for only the fastest and most furious.
Tego & Rico’s de Monte Carlo
Casino-Themed Gift Shop
Last seen at the end of Fast Five in Monaco, fan-favorites Tego & Rico blew their ten million apiece on a game of roulette gone-wrong (they betted red and black each, and it landed on green). Ever since they’ve been stuck in Monaco steadily seeking to build back that wealth, and their most recent rapprochement with Dom & company may be just that. Going out on a limb, they’ve opened Tego & Rico’s as a front for their own activities. This small gift shop represents the casino side of Monaco, selling colorful attire, souvenirs, and Universal themed board games.
Riviera Antiques
Monaco / Riviera Themed Gift Shop
Nestled at the front edge of the land along the waterfront, Brian & Mia have opened a small antique shop in their free time staying in Monaco. The small store’s large amount of little souvenirs and trinkets creates a crowded yet homelike atmosphere, with soothing sounds of the nearby waves crashing against the sea.
