All the presenters are invited to submit a paper to FASL 33 proceedings, which will be published as an extra on-line issue of the Journal of Slavic Linguistics (JSL). Please note that publication in JSL is conditional on a double-blind peer review and is not guaranteed. The FASL 33 issue of JSL will be edited by the conference organizers, Egor Tsedryk and Jasmina Milićević.
Authors willing to submit their work are asked to fill in the form "Intent to submit a paper" by June 30, 2024 (see below). The deadline to submit a manuscript for a peer review is August 16, 2024. Papers are limited to 20-25 pages for talks and posters and 30 pages for invited plenary talks. This length is based on the JSL template specifically designed for FASL papers. For further details, see:
JSL guidelines (this pdf is generated from the following LaTeX template)
Note that the first draft of the manuscript does not have to be produced in LaTeX for the purpose of a peer review. Word or any other text editor can be used at the intial stage. A page in JSL format roughly corresponds to a 30-line page in Word, which has the following specifications:
Letter size: 1" (2.54 cm) margins, 1.5 line spacing, 12 pts Times New Roman font
A4 size: margins set to 3.7 cm (top and bottom) and 2.5 cm (left and right), 1.5 line spacing, 12 pts Times New Roman
If you choose to prepare your first draft in Word (or another text editing software), keep the formatting to a bare minimum and avoid any extra features (like section breaks, macros, tags, automatic references, etc.). After your paper is accepted for the publication, you must submit the final version in LaTeX, following the JSL guidelines. Authors not familiar with LaTeX are encouraged to familarize with this type setting system as soon as possible.
The first draft has to be submitted as a pdf file through the journal’s platform:
