You should then be allowed into the login panel; this is where you enter your router username and password. Have you forgotten your username and password? Follow these instructions to retrieve them. It's possible that you have never changed the username and password, in this case, visit our default router usernames and passwords list, to get the original login details.

The very first thing that you should do after gaining access to your router's configuration settings is manually changing the default password of your router. Almost every router login process is based on the same principle, including both the D-Link router login process and the TPLink login process. So, it doesn't really matter what type of router you have, because the router login process is almost always (if not always) the same. In order to do this, you need to click on Settings and then select the Reset Router Password option. After you've done that, you just need to type in a new password and save the settings before logging out of your router.

Changing the default router password is the first step in securing your WiFi network from intruders. Although the process of changing the router password varies from router brands, the overall concept is the same so you can take the guidance from the following steps to get the basic idea.

192.168.0.1 is the default gateway that is used by routers and modems such as D-Link as default IP address for logging the admin panel. 192.168.0.1 can be used to configure the basic and advanced settings.

If you had changed the default username/password and have forgotten it then the best way to regain access is to reset the router to the default settings which will revert all the changes back to the defaults. To reset your router:

192.168.0.1 is a typical default IP address for a Netgear WiFi router. However, note that all octets are numerical meaning this is NOT 192.168.o.1. The o is a zero '0,' and written as 192.168.0.1. Make sure that when you type out the address, you:

admin/admin is the most common router login and router password for 192.168 0.1, but that depends on the type of router. Other popular login credential combinations are admin/Admin, admin/password, and admin/1234. You can check the list of common router logins if none of those combinations work. Keep in mind that these router default logins and passwords are case sensitive.

If you have forgotten or can't find the login/password for your router, there's usually a small reset button on the back of the router. Press and hold this button for a few seconds until lights on your router blink. Once your router has rebooted, it will reset the router password and the factory default username and password will be in place again.

When you access the router's admin page, you can change passwords, change access or users, and more, including LAN, WAN, WLAN settings; security settings; DNS settings; and the WiFi SSID, which is the name of the WiFi network.

When choosing a new password for your router, make sure it's secure and includes no personal information. Try to include a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols in your password for maximum strength. Run the password through the password strength test tool after changing it to ensure that your new password is secure.

192.168.0.1 IP is part of the Class C private IP address range used to access administrative functions. Often miswritten as 192.168.l.0.1 or 192.168.O.1, this is a common default IP address used for home networking and WiFi routers.

If you have forgotten or are unable to find the login username and password for your router, you can reset the 192.168.0.1 login information. There is usually a small reset button on the back of the router. Press and hold this button for a few seconds until the lights on your router blink. Once your router has rebooted, it will revert to the factory default username and password.

Starting this morning, every device connected to my Wifi network started redirecting webpages to routerlogin.com. There it required a change to the router admin password and to input answers for security questions. I cannot even access the router control page (192.168.0.1).

If this procedure has been implemented by Netgear, it is an extremely bad one. For security reasons, it is not reasonable to force users on to an unknown web address and require them to input a password change.

Thank you for the reply. My home network is only WiFi. I have no wired connections. After no success of accessing the internet, and with a lot of discomfort, I changed the admin password using the routerlogin.com web address I was persistently forwarded to. After that, I was allowed access to the internet again and could access the router using the ip address. I have now changed the password back.

For a week, I have been sent in loops to reset the password, netgear wants $300 to answer or help, routers are directly connected with no Wi-Fi access, because could not access them without disconnecting from network.

Like the performance of the Arris modem and router, but it has been true disappointing pain trying to log into the modem and router to change default username & password for more security. I would also look at other settings, etc.

I previously blocked some devices, now this time i wanna add a device and then i open 192.168.0.1 which is my ip address, and entering my id and password, then the weird thing happens, the page pops up is to reset password, not the setting page. And i can do nothing other than resetting my password. Since my serial number is covered with ink so i cannot reset my password as well. Anyone could help me with this? Thank you so much!

If password recovery is enabled, but you have not set the answers to the questions, it keeps sending you back to the beginning of the process. If you haven't already given the thing your personal answers, they are not in its memory and it has not way of knowing if they are correct.

If the standard factory password (password) does not work, then you will have to factory reset the thing to get back to that. Then either disable password recovery (check the manual for your device) or provide some answers to those questions.

Username field is not appearing. There is only password field. I tried password "admin' but it didn;t work. I reset my router and tried "admin" password again. Still it is not working. I also tried accessing through different browser, different device still no success. Please suggest,

I could see it is getting correctly reset since I need to enter default password to connect to the network. However, no luck with "admin" password on the default gateway. I tried resetting router again, disconnected all devices connected to the router, cleared browser cache. Still not able to see username field on default gateway and password "admin" is not working.

I had the same problem.

I've installed fresh mysql at Ubuntu but I left mysql password empty, and as a result I couldn't connect to mysql in any way.

Lately I've revealed that there is a table of users where are names, hosts, passwords and some plugins. So for my user root@localhost mysql while installing assigned a plugin called auth_socket, which let Unix user "root" log in as a mysql user "root" without password, but don't allow login as another Unix user. So to fix that you should turn off this plugin and set usual authentication:

In Ubuntu systems running MySQL 5.7 (and later versions), the root MySQL user is set to authenticate using the auth_socket plugin by default rather than with a password. This allows for some greater security and usability in many cases, but it can also complicate things when you need to allow an external program (e.g., phpMyAdmin) to access the user.

If you prefer to use a password when connecting to MySQL as root, you will need to switch its authentication method from auth_socket to mysql_native_password.source

You will see that the root user does in fact authenticate using the auth_socket plugin. To configure the root account to authenticate with a password, run the following ALTER USER command. Be sure to change password to a strong password of your choosing:

MySQL Installer Community -> MySQL Server Reconfigure -> Next -> Next -> Connection Name [Local instance or any other name] -> Click on Password - Store in Vault... and add a password and then -> Test connection. It works for me :)

Suggested fix:12. Meanwhile go to Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services -> find MySQL56, right click on it -> Properties -> select Log On Tab AND HERE IS BUG -> Although Local System Account was selected, Somehow "This account: Network Service (with some password) was selected -> Select Log on as: Local System Account, Allow service to interact with desktop -> Apply -> Go back on general tab

Don`t worry about it. just open MySql Installer Community from start menu or your program file and reconfig "Mysql Server" and "Samples and Example"focus on Samples and Example config... and tik mark on Mysql Server, enter your password, click on check and finally click on next and finish.Hope you will see the success message.Thank You

3. Then I clicked on the following steps until I got to "Accounts andRoles" and there I set the password for "root".

4. Finally in SQL Workbench, I went to Manage Server Connections andclicked on "store in Vault..." where I entered the same password asin step 3.

This is a very edge case, but you cannot use passwords with an apostrophe ('). The password I created while setting up MySQL Server had an apostrophe (') in it, and it was always giving me the error you mentioned.

When trying to access pages beyond the landing page you will need to log in username is always admin and tge password is sky for the flat Sky hubs or the wifinpass code onnthe label if the newer upright versions. 006ab0faaa
