The Farmer Tantoh Foundation is a grassroots, nonprofit organization that supports Farmer Tantoh Nforba in helping rural communities and improving lives in villages across the Northwest region of Cameroon and beyond. Projects focus on water supply (water tanks, wells, basins, pipes, taps, etc.), education, as well as conservation and sustainable landscaping (watersheds, botanical gardens, bridges, etc.).The projects are planned and implemented by the people most affected locally. Through the shared work, social bonds are created and local communities strengthened. "Friends of Farmer Tantoh" is a membership-based offshoot of the Foundation supporting Farmer Tantoh's projects.

African Well Fund Provides Grant for Nguri Village Project!
Nguri village is one of the 42 villages located in Nwa Sub Division of Donga Mantung Division of the Northwest Region of Cameroon. The population is estimated to be about 2000 inhabitants.
The father of this project is Ngah Ernest, a 45year old Cameroonian native of the village who is very passionate about community development and environmental protection. He is also into small scale sustainable agriculture and animal rearing. For over fifteen years, Ernest had the quest to ensure that the village should have clean water, especially as they have been drinking from a polluted source for so many years. Ernest is one of the six fellows elected this year under The Farmer Tantoh New Village Environmental Movement to identify passionate young people and engage them in green initiatives in rural communities.

Ngung village, located in the northern part of Nwa Sub-Division within the Donga Mantung Division, of Northwest Region of Cameroon, is home to approximately 10,000 residents. The primary economic activity in Ngung is subsistence agriculture, with local farmers cultivating crops such as maize, cassava, oil palm, and coffee. The Massim River runs through the village and can only be crossed via a hanging bridge. Ngung is isolated, lacks motorable roads, health facilities, potable water, and electricity. The social amenities are limited, featuring only three primary schools and a number of churches. Despite these challenges, the community continues to rely on agriculture as the backbone of their livelihood.
