Farhina Haque, Ph.D

Dr. Farhina Haque received her B.S degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2015. She has completed her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University, Mississippi State, MS, USA. Previously, she was a Lecturer at Daffodil International University, Bangladesh. After completing her PhD in 2022, Dr. Haque joined Sweet Briar College, Virginia as an Assistant Professor in Engineering. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Akron. Her research focuses on addressing dielectric challenges in medium to high-voltage power systems. She has several peer-reviewed journals published: IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, AIP Physics of Fluids, etc. She has also served as a reviewer in various IEEE conferences including IEEE Electrical Insulation Conference, IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference, and IEEE Electric Ship Technologies Symposium. Dr. Haque is member of IEEE and Society of Women Engineering (SWE).

Md Rafid Kaysar Shagor

Md Rafid Kaysar Shagor is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Akron. He earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT). Rafid’s research interests span across Control Systems, High Voltage Engineering, Power Electronics, and Machine Learning.
Zannatul Ferdousy Mouri

Zannatul is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Akron. Her research focuses on developing insulation materials for next-generation power modules. She completed her B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2022.
