DiELECTRIC and ELECTRICAL Insulation Research Lab 

The DEIR Lab at the University of Akron conducts research on identifying the dielectric challenges in every aspect (Distributed Renewable Energy in Power Systems, Electrification of Transportation, High Voltage Engineering, Soft Electronics) of modern power and energy systems and thereby develop state-of-the-art dielectric materials and solutions to ensure the dielectric resiliency of future power and energy technology.
