FARAH MUGRABI
Welcome to my website!
I am a PhD in Economics at the Université Catholique de Louvain. I obtained a MSc in Finance from the Universidad de San Andrés, and a Licenciatura en Economía (5.5-years degree) from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
With over a decade of experience as an economic advisor, working in governmental institutions and private economic consulting firms, I have gained a deep understanding of the intricate interplay between policies, growth, and financial stability. As the former coordinator of the advisory team at the Secretariat of Finance in Argentina, I developed a strong passion for bridging the gap between research and policy application. Utilizing cutting-edge models, I contributed to shape policies that foster economic growth while safeguarding the financial system.
Driven by my commitment to financial stability and expertise in financial econometrics, I am dedicated to conducting thorough research that uncovers the underlying causes of financial contagion and banking systemic risk. Through my work, I provide evidence-based recommendations, including the implementation of macroprudential policies, to safeguard our financial landscapes.
I invite you to explore my Research and Consulting Activities sections to learn more about my contributions.
