Welcome: On 30 September we hope to welcome you to the first Functional Analysis and Operator Theory South Africa (FAOTSA) workshop, which will take place in the conference centre at Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park. The key intention of FAOTSA 2022 is to bring together the South African functional analysis community along with some international specialists to foster discussion and collaboration. We particularly want to pay attention to early career academics.
There will be no registration fee for the workshop, but prior registration is required, since only a limited number of spots are available. Participants are to arrange their own travel to and from the conference venue and pay for accommodation on the rest camp, breakfast and dinner.
Important dates to note:
Registration ends: 31 July 2022
Deadline for abstract submission: 31 August 2022
Please use the buttons in the panel above to navigate to the various subpages.

Early Career Academics: During the workshop various activities will be included aimed at early career academics, involving some of the plenary speakers and local experts. We strongly encourage postgraduate students and those within five years of obtaining their PhD to attend and make use of this chance to broaden their knowledge and network with local and international specialists.
Support for Early Career Academics: Participants who can apply for UCDP funding from the National Graduate Academy for Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (see registration form for criteria) should contact Sanne ter Horst at sanne.terhorst@nwu.ac.za. We also secured additional funding to support the attendance of postgraduate students and postdocs that do not qualify for funding from UCDP. If you registered and qualify, then someone of the organizing committee will contact you soon.
With any questions or comments, please contact one of the organizers.
