My name is Fan Tian (田帆). I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tufts University in 2025, my Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Johns Hopkins University in 2018, and my Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering & Applied Mathematics from the University of Melbourne in 2016.
I will join the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM) at Brown University as a semester postdoc in Spring 2026.
My main research interest lies in numerical multilinear algebra and algorithms with matrix and tensor-based methods. I am also interested in computer vision and biomedical applications.
