Try researching at our rooms at 401A Papanui Road. Monday & Saturday 10am - 12 noon. The Society has an extensive library with:

• Over 3000 library books on a wide range of genealogical subjects

• Electoral rolls and electoral rolls on fiche

• Fiche readers and fiche files on a range of subjects including birth, marriage and death records, census details and cemetery transcripts & shipping records

• Magazines from Family History Societies from all over the world

• NZ cemetery records, NZ marriage records and newspaper births all on searchable CDs

• A CD with English cemetery records

• Copies of birth, marriage and death certificates donated by members

• Family Histories and family trees

Research Officers

The Society has a number of dedicated family historians who are available to help you develop your family trees or to guide you in your research.

• Research support is free to all financial members

• The "Family Tree" magazine can be used to publish family histories or for members to appeal to the wider world for help in breaking down their research "brick walls"

• From time to time the researchers will undertake research on a paid basis. The cost of this research is available from the "FamilyTree" magazine or by contacting the Society

• The Society's librarian, Jill Lord, readily accepts donations of books on genealogical matters
