In this bonus session, we will play a 50-minute video on an interview with grief expert Wendy Black Stern, followed by a discussion with fellow participants facilitated by Dr. Ng Wai Sheng, clinical director of Growing Space Psychology Center.
In this video, you will discover how powerful movement and mindfulness can be helpful in the process of grief. You will learn a short and simple daily practice to help you lean into grief and difficult feelings, and move toward acceptance, healing, and self-love.
A yoga therapist, and the founding president of Grief Support Network, Wendy Black Stern began her work in grief when she experienced the sudden loss of her 9-month-old son. In her journey with grief, she learned to transform the pain of her loss through her use of somatic movement in her yoga practice, and culminated a powerful approach to grieving.
