The Boathouse, The McConnell Family Boathouse 

A program-changing moment for University of Notre Dame rowing occurred in early December of 2015, as the state-of-the-art McConnell Family Boathouse was completed along the St. Joseph River adjacent to the University of Notre Dame campus.

The almost 15,000-square foot facility provides the Irish with an impressive facility that rivals many of the top programs in the country. When it debuted, the boathouse was outlined with bright lights. which looked like it was patterned after Boathouse Row in Philadelphia and some other boathouses across the nation.
