What types of assignments will I have this class?
Student's Interactive Workbook assignments are a follow up to all the lectures and provide you practice with your receptive skills.
There are reading assignments in the workbook, which are worth no points. Those readings are important for us to understand the culture and language.
Video assignments are for you to show your signing skills. There are 4 videos from Unit 2 and Unit 5 and 2 narratives from Unit 6. You will be using Canvas' media platform.
There will be rubric for all video assignments. On each assignments, click the snowman icon (3 vertical dots)on the top right corner, then select "Show Rubric"
I will not accept any form of attachments (.mov, etc) and YouTube links. If those were made, the grade will be 0.
There will be discussion boards where you can interact with other students online. Each unit will have at least one discussion board.
All lab assignments are based on receptive and/or expressive skills practice. Some of the lab assignments require you to create videos on the Canvas platform.
At the end of each unit, your knowledge and skills will be evaluated and bench marked.
The receptive assessment are also based on the reading materials given in the Interactive Workbook.
The receptive assessment are based on what you have learned.
The receptive assessments are done online.
The mid-semester interactive assessment will cover Units 1-3 and will happen either in the classroom or online
. And the end of semester interactive assessment will cover Units 1-5 and will also happen either in the classroom or online.
