We will be providing pizza for all delegates and advisors. If a delegate has any dietary restrictions, please specify in the registration form. You are welcome to bring your own lunch/snacks.
All committees are single-delegation, except for DISEC, which is double del, so there will be one award per delegate, unless the delegation is participating in DISEC, in which case they will be presented with two awards, one for each delegate. They will be presented by the chairs of their respective committees and will be commended on their hard work and exemplary performance, but awards should not be the overall purpose or goal of attending FALCONMUN.
DISEC will not be double gavel. The delegation that wins Best Delegation in DISEC will be presented with two certificates and one gavel.
The awards are as follows:
Verbal Commendation | Delegate will stand up to be recognized
Honorable Mention | Delegate will receive a certificate
Outstanding Delegation | Delegate will receive a certificate
Best Delegation | Delegate will receive a certificate and gavel
For FALCONMUN, there will be 2 Verbal Commendations, 1 Honorable Mention, 1 Outstanding Delegation, and 1 Best Delegation.
FALCONMUN has a no-technology policy in place to maintain a fair setting for all delegations. Delegates found using technology for research purposes or in any way relating to the conference may not be considered for awards.
If a delegate must use a device for communication or other reasons, they must step out of the committee session.
Position papers are required for the committees at FALCONMUN with the exception of crisis committees. Position papers will be collected at the start of committee and returned at the end of the conference.
If a delegate does not submit their position paper in GA or SPEC, they will not be considered for awards. Additionally, position papers which are found to contain plagiarism will be immediately disqualified from awards consideration.
Position papers should be printed and handed to the chair at the beginning of the conference. They will be returned at the end of committee session two with feedback. Optionally, you may email your position paper to your chair, but a paper copy is required.
In a crisis committee, crisis arcs will not be required. They are strongly recommended as it helps delegates form detailed plans for their private directives.
