This study investigated how different health goals, based on gender, are motivated in regard to light physical activity. A questionnaire followed by a week of using the Ommetje app (an application which encourages people to take daily walks) and an interview were performed. These answered the questions of whether men and women differ in their type of health goals and how they differ in their needs to support them in reaching these goals.
I designed the questionnaire which was used to understanding participants’ health goals, experience with walking supportive applications, and other demographic questions. And according to their health goals, I categorized participants into different types. Then, participants used a walking supportive application equipped with several persuasive features for one week. After using the application, I was also responsible for interviewing the participants interviewed to investigate behavioral and experiential feedback, such as duration of use and preference for persuasive features.
I worked with a teammate to do the statistical analysis in Stata. I used t-test and regression for the data analysis and documented the analysis process and results.
In this project I...

Designed a survey to investigate behavioral and experiential feedback
Applied appropriate statistical analysis (e.g., t-test, regression model) to the data and interpreted the results.
