Restaurant Project: Marketing

You need to give me at a minimum 3 sources of where you obtained this information. Provide a 3 paragraph essay about marketing, in particular, for a new restaurant.

To market a restaurant, first you must take the time to create a strong brand identity. Think of ideas that will make you stand out. You must also know who your target audience is. Which tools and strategies can provide the results you want? It's important to work on things that can help promote your business. Creating websites and accounts on different social media platforms would be great. Your platforms should have photos and other visual content. Nowadays, everything is online so it would be best to promote your business there and handle reservations or requests online.

Marketing your business includes selling, advertising, and delivering your products. There's a lot of planning that goes into it. You may have to explore different ideas of creating and promoting. If you were to market or promote your new restaurant, think of things that would attract your customers, like a menu. It's always good to have an easy-to-read menu so that your customers don't have to scramble through your website. Offline marketing strategies may include post cards, local newspaper or radio stations. Not everyone can go online to check out your restaurant so it would be good if you put ads in the physical world. Offer reviews and respond back to them, it'll help improve your business when you know what your customers like and want.

For your business to thrive, you should hire/work with people that would help your business. Working with a PR can expand your marketing efforts. Hiring a PR firm can be expensive, so you must work within your budget. Hire people to work for your restaurant. Showing off your chefs and other staff members doing what they do best is great for business. Customers like seeing happy smiles and joyful employees in your restaurant and it helps with your reputation. Your reputation is important, especially when you market your new restaurant.

Focus on What You can Control

After our discussion and reading of Jerry Roberts' article, "Focus on what you can control", revise his 10 points to apply to your life as high school senior.

  1. My performance at school is really based on how much effort I put into my work. I always strive to put my all into everything I do because I know it'll pay off in the end.

  2. I've learned to take responsibility of my choices and I now have the courage to step up when nobody else can do the work.

  3. It's always good to support the efforts of my classmates/teammates and help whenever I can, whether they ask for it or not.

  4. It's not right to judge others because you never know what they might be going through.

  5. I can improve the experience of my senior year by making a plan for life after high school and ultimately, make more fun memories before it all ends.

  6. It's best to come to school with a positive attitude because you don't want to be that one person who gives off negative energy.

  7. The improvement of my skills in school and sports is really up to me and whether or not I put my mind to it. The only way you can improve on something is if you do it yourself and stay consistent.

  8. One of my main goals this year is to grow spiritually and keep my mental/physical health in good shape.

  9. I learned to spend more time with my family because in the end, they're all I've got. I'll never know when our last moments together will be so it's best to cherish each moment with them.

  10. I must educate the younger kids in my family lessons that will help them when they get older, something that'll be beneficial for them and they can always look back on.

TripAdvisor Review of Guam Hotels

Hilton Guam Resort & Spa

Some people were saying that the hotel rooms were a little "outdated" and complained about the mold. One person thought the Resort itself was in "bad shape". The owner responded to most of the comments and thanked them for their reviews. They also apologized to those who had some concerns about their stay and told them that their review will help improve overall guest satisfaction. Overall, the reviews were mainly complimenting the staff and their excellent customer service. They liked the location of the hotel and enjoyed the restaurants and activities.

Guam Reef Hotel

The reviews of Guam Reef was a mix of good and bad. There were complaints about the A/C and "uncomfortable" beds. Some people were saying the hotel was not what they expected when they arrived. Some rooms had problems like the smell and "moldy carpets". Sadly, there was no response to these complaints. The staff provided "top notch" guest service and customers had a great time despite the COVID-19 restrictions.

Hotel Santa Fe Guam

Many people were a little disappointed. They spoke about the stained rugs and walls, dusty rooms, broken doors, etc. They didn't think it was a clean and welcoming environment and some people were saying it should get a renovation. There was no response to these reviews either and the situation has yet to be resolved.

Guam's level of service is a 50/50 for me. From what I read, these hotels provide excellent customer service and they tried their best to ensure that their guests had a great time at their hotel. I also read that the prices were pretty decent for a big hotel like Hilton and Guam Reef. The complaints were mainly about the cleanliness of the rooms and trouble with the amenities of the hotel, which is something I think should be fixed because we want our customers to have a memorable experience. I'm glad that Hilton's team responded to these reviews and thanked them for the comments that would help them improve but the other two hotels didn't have a responder. I think they should consider the guests suggestions and focus on ways to improve their hotel and customer service, I know that if they do their hotel will soon thrive.
